In 2025, the new “Exoikonomo” program is set to launch with an estimated budget of €600 million. This program will differ from previous ones as it will not have income criteria and will focus on energy upgrades and emission reductions. Notably, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) will play a more active role, managing the entire process from the start, including application submission. Their payment will be based on the savings achieved in citizens’ energy bills.
